Do you have a kid that wants to learn how to play classical music on piano? My First Book of Classical Music is a great book for kids who already know a little bit about the notes of the piano, and can grasp basic concepts of music. From what I understand it is also good for adults because it gets the reader right into playing classical songs that everyone knows and enjoys.

When I was just starting, I did not have a very fun book, but I know I spent most of my time trying to learn the few classical songs that were within the book. When you learn a classical song it tends to feel like an accomplishment because typically these songs are thought to be hard or for masters. However, there are quite a few classical songs that are easy to learn, or have easy to learn simplified versions. I do not think any of these songs are simplified from the original version, but I may in fact be wrong.
